CADASTRAL SYSTEM ABROAD
Cadastre in Russia
Land cadastre management in the Russian Federation is mainly entrusted to the State Committee for Land Resources and Land Management.
Scientific and historical sources testify that the first data on the cadastre in Russia date back to the 10th century and are related to land tax collection and land valuation. Today, the cadastre maintained in the Russian Federation can be divided into 3 main categories:
- tax and fiscal - to describe real estate in order to determine the procedure and amount of taxation;
- legal or legal - to protect property rights;
- multi-purpose - solving wide-ranging legal, economic, ecological, construction issues, as well as regional development management and planning problems.
The multi-purpose cadastre includes information on various objects: land, forest and other natural resources, infrastructure, socio-economic realities.
